Commercial Vehicle Charging

Here at Envevo, we pride ourselves on being specialists for EV Charging infrastructure.

Here at Envevo, we pride ourselves on being specialists for EV Charging infrastructure. This includes supplying charging solutions to larger commercial vehicles such as trucks, buses, and other industrial vehicles as the logistics and manufacturing sectors grow in line with the Kingdom’s 2030 Vision.

Charging such vehicles comes with added complexity due to the physical size and power requirements of the vehicle combined with often dated or inadequate electrical infrastructure where they are typically parked.

Envevo brings a wealth of experience supporting operators of such vehicles electrify their fleets and will support you to make a seamless transition with minimal disruption to your operations.

Our team of experts will assess your operations plans, running schedules, service dwell times and all available data to create a bespoke turnkey solution to suit your operation. This also includes spacial assessment and redesign to maximise parking bays and revenue on your site.

We will also consider your long-term decarbonisation strategy when creating preliminary designs to ensure your EV charging site is futureproof. Envevo are ideally placed to share best practice and offer guidance site-wide whether you are looking to introduce your first EV charging station on-site or electrify your entire bus depot.

Depot Charging

Most charging typically takes place at the end of the working day at the operator’s depot. As such, this is where the highest demand and greatest challenges arise for commercial vehicle electrification.

To simplify this process, Envevo’s in-house teams will consider your unique business needs by understanding your daily schedule, assessing existing power supplies, and carrying out various surveys to deliver a futureproof EV charging site.

At Envevo, we also have the experience to determine if combining charging stations with a Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) or on site generation would provide the most efficient energy supply for your operations and if necessary, support you through any grant or funding applications.

En-route Charging

Due to the long distances they typically travel, commercial vehicles may require access to charging stations en-route during their journey. High-speed DC charging is often used in such cases to enable drivers to rapidly charge their vehicles conveniently when stopping for breaks or planned rest stops.

Reliable charging locations typically form part of an operator’s delivery route allowing them to accommodate charging around their delivery schedule and mandatory driver rest periods.

Envevo has supported many clients with such requirements and based on user needs, we advise on electrical capacity requirements, load management, power generation, and various other factors to develop a suitable design which is then deployed in-house by our team of experts.
